Deep Tissue - It is a more vigorious method of eliminating the toxins from your muscles, which increases the circulation, thous warming up the blood vessels, causing the muscles to loosen up. It also restores the energy flow through out the body to start its own engine to heal itself. While it can be painful, the benefits out weight the soreness afterward. Stretches are also performed to increase the circulation. This therapy is typically used on patients already in some sort of pain or condition. Sports Massage - It is designed for the serious athlete. Sports massage focuses on the muscles used most extensively by the individual athlete and includes pre-event, post-event, and maintenance techniques. This massage helps reduce recovery time and risk of injury.
